Meet Dr. Slabaugh

Dr. Slabaugh was born and raised in Homer, Alaska. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Hope College in Holland, Michigan. He completed his medical degree at the University of Washington. Following his internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus Ohio, he continued at UW for his residency in ophthalmology. He completed his glaucoma fellowship at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Slabaugh's clinical interests include all types of glaucoma, with a special emphasis on uveitic glacoma and tramatic glaucoma.  His research focus is in basic science research into glaucoma as a neurodegenerative disease, as well as imaging of the aqueous outflow pathway.

Dr. Slabaugh lives in Columbus with his wife and son. His pastimes include playing piano, cooking and outdoor activities, including biking and hiking.
