The Havener Eye Institute is dedicated to serve those with eye care needs in underdeveloped parts of our world. “It kind of gets you back to why you went to medical school in the first place,” says Dr. Thomas Mauger, Department Chairman. Every year Dr. Mauger schedules ophthalmic missions and is accompanied by colleagues, fellows, and residents helping people who do not have access to care for their eye diseases and conditions.
