Fellowships

The Havener Eye Institute offers fellowship programs in cornea and external disease, vitreoretinal disease and surgery, glaucoma and a combined program in neuro-ophthalmology/orbital disease/oculoplastics. These programs all offer numerous clinical, surgical, research and teaching opportunities.

Faculty believe that fellowship training should be taken after residency  out of a genuine desire for subspecialty practice, academic pursuits, or research, rather than to supplement areas missed during a residency program.  Applicants should be graduates of accredited residency programs with a solid foundation of comprehensive ophthalmology.

To Apply:

All Department of Ophthalmology fellowship programs participate in the San Francisco Match and we will only receive applications through the match.  Please refer to the San Francisco Match website (http://www.sfmatch.org/) for details on how to register and apply through the match.  Please note that there are no supplemental materials required in order to apply to one of our fellowship programs.  All applicants will be notified via email of their status.  Please contact Trish Rebish at rebish.3@osu.edu with any inquiries.

In order to be considered for any fellowship, all applicants must be able to obtain a FULL and unrestricted medical license in the State of Ohio prior to starting a fellowship.  Please visit http://www.med.ohio.gov for licensure requirements.
